What muscles to flex
Lift weights to strengthen each of your major muscles, including:
- Legs
- Hips
- Chest
- Core (your back and abs)
- Shoulders
- Arms
How often should you strength train?
Shoot for strength training 3 times a week.
Short on workout time?
- Alternate times that you work your upper body and lower body. You don’t have to do everything every time you work out to get a benefit.
- Use your own body weight and do sit ups, push-ups or lunges during your favorite T.V. show.
Work it in throughout the day:
- During commercials, do abdominal crunches.
- While the microwave heats up your coffee, do squats.
